NA´AMA GOLAN
Na´ama Golan, born in Isreal, studied at the Rubin Academy
in Tel Aviv and at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin. She was
principal trumpeter of the Young Isreali Philharmonic Orchestra, regularly a member of the
West East Divan Orchester conducted by Daniel Barenboim and in the summer of 2005 she was
a member of the Lucerne Festival Academy under the direction of von Pierre Boulez. Na´as
passion for contemporary music began in Israel, inspired by her work with ensembles such as
Ensemble Mosika Nova, Kaprizma and continued to grow after she moved to Berlin, where she
presently plays with the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin. As a soloist, a member of the
Stiania Trumpet Trio and other ensembles she has given numerous first performances of works
by German and Isreali composers. Na´ama is pedagogically very active, teaching in Berlin
and at the the Sauerland Herbst Brass Master Classes in 2008 and 2009.
