NATHAN PLANTE

Nathan Plante, born in California, has been living and working in Europe for the last five years. After successfully completing his Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he moved to Berlin in order to continue his studies at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" with Bill Forman. Since graduating in 2007 Nathan has become very active in the modern music scene both as a soloist and as an ensemble player. He regularly performs with Ensemble Mosaik, Kammer Ensemble Neue Musik Berlin and musikFabrik Köln. As a soloist he has premiered new works by Liza Lim (Wild winged-one, 2007) and, most recently, "t.aAmiper for trumpet and orchestra" by Aleksandra Gryka with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra as part of the Warsaw Autumn Festival of 2009. Nathan can also be heard on recordings of music by Elena Mendoza-Lopez and Helmut Zapf.
