UTA RÜGNER
After completing her studies in philology and cultural sciences in 1996,
Uta Rügner worked as Director of Public Relations at the
tRÄNENpalast Veranstaltungs GmbH, KULTURBRAUEREI GmbH
and the Kesselhaus GmbH. She conceived and produced series and festivals with Eastern Europe and
contemporary music as focal points such as OST(t)Räume, Lokalnye Matadory, Overtone Festival -
Phenomenon of the Voice, Sergey Kuryochin International Festival (SKIF) and Ostwelle Berlin, amoung
others. She partnered with Hahn Productions to direct as project and productions manager the
"Russian Cultural Days in Germany 03/04", an international cultural dialogue commissioned
by the German Foreign Ministry and the State of Berlin. She is currently Deputy Director of the
KULTURBRAUEREI e.V. and is responsible for fundraising, accounting and finance administration for
commissions in the fields of Culture, Education and Social Welfare.
