ANGELA GASSENHUBER
Angela Gassenhuber, born in Munich, studied in her home town and in Manchester.
Since the middle of the 1980´s chamber music has been central in her artistic
activity and she is much sought after as a chamber music partner with extraordinarily extensive
repertoire knowledge. Angela has played many concerts throughout Europe with various partners,
including Alban Gerhardt, William Forman, Peter Lukas Graf, Karl Leister, the Klaviertrio Berlin
and Chamber Music Ensembles of the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Munich and Berlin Philharmonic
Orchestras. She is also a featured piano soloist in theatre productions of the Konzerthaus Berlin
and the Berlin Chamber Opera and performs regularly in all the Berlin orchestras.
In addition to her performing schedule, Angela has engaged extensively in teaching instrumentalists
while acompanying them on the piano. Immediately after graduating from the Munich Acadamy of Music
she received a lectureship for piano accompaniment at the same institution and in 1995 she was appointed
to a full-time teaching position at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music in Berlin.
